YOLO WITH KOBO PLUS! KISSING VICIOUS ON RADISH, AND OTHER NEWS!

Today is a very special Kobo Plus romance celebration, #YOLO with Kobo! (YOLO stands for You Only Live Once, aka, life is too short to not have ALL the books you want) I think it's funny an cute that they went with old-school slang for this, but yeah. If you aren't familiar with Kobo Plus, let me tell you about how much I love it as a book subscription.  It's basically all the hot, must-read indie romances that are not in Kindle Unlimited.  I have ALLLLLL of books in it, so does Grace Burrowes, Zoe York, Mimi Flood, Carrie Ann Ryan, Emmanuelle de Maupassant, Sarina Bowen, Mari Carr, Suzanna Medeiros, etc.  It;s the most affordable book subscription on the market, plus the first month is free in most places. And unlike KU, it's not flooded with content-stuffing and AI junk. This event is Highlighting my rockstar romance, With Vengeance, though there was a goof and it has the title as Kissing Vicious. However, it doesn't matter because you can get BOTH on on Kobo Plus! You can get the whole Hearts of Metal series! Or any of my other series, for that matter.  The Bite Me, Your Grace audiobook is there too! Other News: I'm giving Radish a try. For those who don't know, Radish is a phone app that lets you read chapters of books in episodic format.  Right now, the first 10 chapters of Kissing Vicious are up there free, so if you're not interested in Kobo, you can read the book for free on Radish, though the following chapters release for free next week, or you can use their coin system to unlock the others. Because it's a phone app, I can't link to the book, but check out the hottie I have to represent this story.

OTHER BOOK NEWS: I got unstuck with The Graveyard Girls and got a ton more written. This book is the longest thing I've written and the final draft will probably be as long as Robert McCammon's coming of age horror novel, Boy's Life. (That book is AWESOME. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!) But it won't be as long as Stephen King's IT because I'm not that crazy and not talented enough to write a 300,000 word tome that will actually be good, lol. I STILL haven't heard back from the anthology publisher about that short horror story I submitted. So I'm researching other places to send it to. I got most of the Brides of Prophecy covers updated and will show those off soon. Though some of you have probably already seen them on Amazon and other places. And, of course, I'm working on the preliminary outline for Book 10 and there will be a giveaway related to that. Audio News: The narrator for the Bite Me, Your Grace audiobook is set to start on One Bite Per Night on the 23rd! It will take longer to come out since I'm sending the book in portions that I can afford each month. As a reminder, anyone who donates to my audiobook fund gets a free copy of the audiobook when it's done. Life News: I'm still torn up about the loss of my Grandma. I'm having lunch with my other Grandma tomorrow and thanking the fates that at least I still have her in my life. I'm doing my best to stay busy so I don't wallow in grief. New Hearts of Metal covers, Quick Update, and Something Cool Happening on Thursday!

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. Aside from grieving the loss of my grandma, I was sick
with a sinus infection from hell for a whole week and I've been scrambling to catch up on everything.
I also had to change the covers of my Hearts of Metal books to better fit the market.
The before pics are on top and the after on bottom.
I do have a few copies with the old covers and if you're interested, you can get signed copies
from my store! (proceeds go to my audiobook fund!)

Next week I'm participating in a fun event for Kobo Plus.
I highly recommend trying Kobo plus. All my reasons are outlined below.
But ANOTHER good reason is that you can get unlimited audiobook access instead of KU's
weird audible coin thing. Which means you can listen to the Bite Me, Your Grace audiobook for FREE!
I'll never be in KU because I want my books to be accessible everywhere AND I hate how they
keep charging readers more and paying authors less.


But I know a lot of you have fave authors on KU, but maybe you can switch back and forth
between the two.

BOOK NEWS: I am horrifically stuck on the ending of The Graveyard Girls, but I'm going to have a meeting with my critique partner about it. I still haven't heard back from the anthology publisher about that short horror story I submitted, but if it's a no, I'll submit it elsewhere. I'm also updating the Brides of Prophecy covers and I'll show them off next week. And, of course, I'm working on the preliminary outline for Book 10! On the audiobook front, I'm having the narrator for Bite Me, Your Grace get started on One Bite Per Night at the end of the month. It's going to be a long process because I'm paying her to do a few chapters at a time. I found another narrator who will be working with me on Kissing Vicious in the same way. As a reminder, anyone who donates to my audiobook fund gets a free copy of the audiobook when it's done. Art News: I did an awesome art piece for a limited edition publisher. He announced it on his Patreon, but I still can't say anything or show off my piece until he announces it publicly. But it's super cool! I'm also doing a scratchboard for a friend's B-day even though I fell behind on it so it will be late. Life News: Spring is coming so I'll soon have the weather I need for more car repairs. Wrenching Fate 99 cents for 2 days, Life updates, and Book recs!

My other rec is Camp Damascus by Chuck Tingle. I was honestly surprised at how good the writing is. The characters were awesome and sympathetic too. It's about an evil conspiracy in a cult's gay conversion camp. And wow, it's a wild ride! Get it here!

Other Book News: I turned in my short horror story to the anthology publisher. Now I gotta hold my breath and see if it's accepted. If it isn't, I'll submit it to some other publishers. I also finished my illustration for the secret project that a limited edition publisher will be announcing next month. Life News: My grandma passed away on Thursday. I'm absolutely devastated. A few years ago, she'd asked me if there was anything I wanted when she passed away. I told her I'd like the burl that I'd always played with when I was at her house. She laughed and said, "Really?" That thing was my favorite "toy" at Grandma's house. From when I was little, all the way to this year, every time I visited, I made a beeline for it and played with it the whole time. I don't know which type of tree my great-grandpa took it from, but it's so cool. It was really surreal taking it home. I'd much rather be able to play with it at her house while visiting her.

I also learned that she wanted me to have her gorgeous star garnet necklace. It has a 6 pointed star. You can only get 6 pointed stars in Idaho. My mom and dad had dug this garnet and had a jeweler cut, polish, and set it for Grandma's 50th B-day. So it's DOUBLE special. Not to mention that star garnets have magical and romantic meaning in my Brides of Prophecy series.
